Lines and Ladders

Rust Belt Jakes host this fast-paced hands-on class aimed at two of the most critical fire ground skills: placing attack lines in service and deploying ground ladders for rescue. Join Rust Belt Jakes for this one-day hands-on training with a primary focus on getting the first line in service, ladders up and searches performed. Students will be able to work on skills including hose line deployment, movement, flowing water, ground ladders, primary search and working off an aerial ladder. Students will be faced with fast paced repetitions and scenarios.

Max Students: 40 Logistical needs: 1- class A pumper and 1- working aerial apparatus A multistory training building 2- working fire hydrants (can make do with 1 if needed) Sufficient supply hose (MDH, LDH) with hydrant wrench and adapters to make hydrant connections 400’ of. 2.5” hose 600’ of 1.75” hose 400’ of 3” hose (if possible)

4- TICs

6- portable radios

2- 24’ or 28’ extension ladders (both would be nice)

2- 14’ or 16’ roof ladders (both would be nice)

1-35’ extension ladder 2- fixed gallonage low pressure 1.5” fog nozzles (150@50 and 150@75 if possible)

4- smoothbore nozzles- preferably 2- 7/8” and 2- 15/16”

2- 1 1/8” smoothbore nozzles

2- 2.5” fog nozzles (fixed gallonage)

1- 1 1/16” smoothbore nozzle (if possible)

2- sets of irons 2- 6’ NY hooks 50- pallets and a 5 lb box of 3” screws 2 smoke machines with fog juice (candy smoke)
